This is is the container garden with trellis over the tomato plants (taken a couple of weeks ago). The four self watering planters are visible in the foreground. The covered container to the left of the planters is the watering system that services all the boxes. The earthbox in the right foreground has garlic in it that has been growing over the winter.
Above is the internal construction of the box. The pipe laying across the top is the fill tube.
Here is a pix of two Earthboxes with four tomato plants. (no ripe tomatoes showing) That is a spare vinyl shutter I used to shield the water reservoirs from sunlight in front of them. Taken last year . . .
This picture shows two Earthboxes with an automatic filling reservoir to the left. They are in a different location and planted with peppers and taken a few weeks ago.
